Leyland Olympian Exports - The worlds only site totally dedicated to export production Leyland Olympian buses.
***Latest update 17/11/2009*** Major new addition to the SBS Transit section following a trip to Singapore in early November. The SBS Transit Part Two section shows the highlights of my trip, all the shots from 2007 are now in the SBS Transit Part One section. New photos some of the Stagecoach South West Trains ex CTB Olympians with their new registrations have been added into their collection, and new images of CLP 304 now with Lodge Coaches and 316 with Kinch Coaches have been added into the CLP Olympians in the UK Collection. Other recent additions include preserved CTB Olympian 102 in its new demonstrator livery (in the Citybus 102 and 105 in UK preservation collection) and new images of CTB 381 and 387 in the CTB in the UK (excl Stagecoach) collection.*** If you are looking for pictures of ex Hong Kong Olympians in the UK I've re-organised them by original operator, so apart from the Stagecoach machines you need to look in the CTB, CLP and KMB in the UK collections*** This fotopic site is the worlds only site totally dedicated to export Leyland Olympian buses, mainly the tri-axle examples. Many Olympians were built for use beyond the UK and they reached Hong Kong, Singapore and Eire in significant numbers, you will find a selection of pictures of them hard at work with KMB (Kowloon Motor Bus), CTB (Citybus), NWFB (New World First Bus), KCRC (Kowloon Canton Railway Co) and Dublin Bus. Many of the Hong Kong examples are now enjoying second careers in the UK with Stagecoach along with smaller numbers with Big Bus Sightseeing in London and First Eastern Counties in Norfolk. An increasing number of smaller operators are operating one or two ex Hong Kong Olympians, whilst historic former Citybus 102 + 105 survive with a preservationist.
Welcome
If you can't find what you are looking for here then check out the links below; I've scoured the net to find the best sites with pictures of tri-axle Olympians at home in Hong Kong and Singapore.

    About Me
I'm an 11M Leyland Olympian born on 29th November 1990. My birth certificate is number ON-11752 and I've weighed just under 14 tons since the start of my life. I've got an Alexander bodywork with air conditioning and I originally worked for Citybus, Hong Kong fleet who called me 135 (ER9371). I moved to England in Summer 2003 and lived in Oxford for a while before transferring to Swindon, and I worked for the megabus division of Stagecoach. I spent the summer of 2007 in Devon working from Exeter to Paignton, and I'm now in Stroud working mainly schools operations. In England I'm known as 13601 (BIW4977). The photos on this site were all taken by a very good friend of mine from the UK.

    How do I find them...?
Quite often people ask where they can find ex Hong Kong Olympians here in the UK. This info was updated on 25/07/2009.
    CTB 11M
Use of these machines on megabus.com and Magic Bus workings has completely ceased, new coaches cover all megabus workings whilst newer step entry buses rule Magic Bus. South West Trains have six Olympians dedicated to their railway replacement operations (worked by sister company Stagecoach South) and they are most often found in the Winchester or Portsmouth areas during planned railway works.
A number of CTB 11M's are now in West Scotland for schools operations, and one CTB (13644) is liveried for the summer seasonal A4 Craig Tara Holiday Park to Ayr.
Most of the CTB 11M Olympians have now been sold outside Stagecoach group.
Other ex CLP/CTB 12M are owned by small operators who mainly use them on schools and private hire operations, Mulley of Ixworth have three ex CTB Olympians and these work school-timed services around Bury St Edmunds. Other CLP/CTB 12M's are operated by Beeston, Lodge Coaches, Impact Group, Stephensons, Cedar, Patron, Dons Coaches, Florida Coaches, Herberts, MASS, Greys of Ely, Carver Coaches, Arthur of Coatbridge, Heritage Travel and Weardale but these exclusively work schools and private hire operations.

    CMB
The nine surviving CMB LM Class machines are all now based in Great Yarmouth with First Eastern Counties, check out the route 1/1A Lowestoft to Martham via Great Yarmouth as well as route 8 Caister to James Paget via Great Yarmouth and local area schools and works contracts.

    KMB
The Magic Bus fleet in Manchester is now all withdrawn and most of the 3BL's are now in Scotland for schools runs but some are with smaller operators. The 3BL's with MASS transit are used entirely for schools operations. Big Bus Sightseeing in London have 22 S3BL's and these are usually on the 'Red' route- it is best to go on a hot summers day to maximise the amount of S3BL's in service, some of the fully open-top examples are stored during the winter.
